The Influence of Electromagnetic Field Pollution on Human Health: A Systematic Review

Objective: Recent technological advances have exponentially expanded globally; harbouring upon Electromagnetic fields (EMF). The utilization of field has become universal from everyday usage electronic appliances such as micro wave ovens, tablets and portable computers to telecommunication systems mobile phone towers, radio- television broadcast power transmission resulting in electromagnetic associated radiations. EMF can biological effects on cell at microlevel the potential ability cause dysfunction manifesting various effects. This review tried gather evidence existing literature about human health. Materials Methods: We did extensive search using PubMed Cochrane database key words, “electromagnetic fields”, “Extremely low frequency (ELF-EMFs)”, “biological effects”, “health “public health”. included 20 studies conducted Dec 2009 2019 our systematic review. Data each study was extracted by two independent researchers discrepancies were resolved consensus. Results: Significant exposure reported health ranging anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, increased risk Alzheimer’s disease ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), hypersensitivity infertility multiple carcinomas. Conclusion: Application preventive measures order minimize becomes need hour especially so occupational settings.
